SWIM!!!

Here is Maya at her swimming lesson. She can swim all the way across the pool (with the help of a floatie belt). They had to have these goggles which, by the way, you don't have to buy at the swim shop! They have them at Academy for at least $5.00 less-oh well lesson learned! I bet the swimming teacher who told us where to get the kind that she recommended is in cahoots with that swim shop! Anyway, Maya is a much better swimmer this summer, she still has no fear which I learned is a good thing, but now she can back it up. Plus she's tall enough to touch the bottom of the pool with her head above water. The most amazing thing to me was that she can in fact float on her back. Every time I tried to teach her she would freak out and start screaming that she was going under. OK, pool here we come! We have the best pool in our community. There is a 1 foot deep baby pool with a huge umbrella, sprinklers, and a lap pool with a fountain. All this within walking distance of our house. The best part is when we go during the week we are usually the only ones there because I must be the only SAHM in this neighborhood. Usually not a good thing, but for the pool it's great!
