So, we are hanging out at my Dad and Pam's house and Logan says, "Ouch my toe!" He looks at it and then tells us he hurt his toe. We both say OK, I'm sure it's fine lets take a look. Daddy looks at it and says, "Uh, Keith (My Dad for those who didn't know), we're going to have to do a little surgery here." So my Dad goes to gather the supplies: Tweezers, hydrogen peroxide, band aid, cotton balls and what looks like a miners light attached to a head strap that I am sure he has to use to see all of those tiny computer parts when he's working. You should have seen Logan's eyes! They got about the size of a dinner plate and THEN he started crying. Well, after a few attempts to remove the 20+ year old piece of wood from Logan's toe they gave up and Logan got down and started to play again. We watched him and decided he was probably OK, but we'd see if we needed to go to the ER. He played the rest of the evening and every time we would ask he said his toe didn't hurt. He didn't sleep well so in the morning we decided to go to the ER. Since he didn't sleep well at night he slept in until after 11:00, we got some breakfast, and headed over to Emanuel Hospital because we were told they had a children's ER. This all was happening on the day we had the wedding to attend (one of the reasons we were in Portland in the first place) but obviously Logan comes first. We got to know the other people in the waiting room and Daddy took Logan back when they called him. They got the wood about 95% out (I'll leave out the details). Dad and Pam were already on their way to pick up the kids so we could make it to the wedding, more on that later. After 4 hours, 3 Popsicles, and 2 prescriptions Logan survived his first (of many I'm sure) trip to the ER.

Hope Logan's toe is feeling better. Your kiddos are so cute!!! Hope all is going well in Texas. Tell Mya hello for me . ( Hopefully she'll remember who I am)Take care
