San Antonio

We had a little vacation over Memorial Day weekend to San Antonio. We all had such fun and really enjoyed our trip. We headed out Friday evening (well, about 9:30) and the kids fell asleep on the 3-and-a-half-hour drive, just as planned. We got to our hotel in the wee hours of the morning where everyone woke up just long enough to walk into the hotel, toting their own luggage no less, and fall back to sleep-PERFECT! We all slept in (well, slept in for us-we got up around 8:30) and had breakfast at the hotel before we took the shuttle to Sea World. We saw half of Sea World before Logan especially needed a nap and that's when it started to pour rain on us. We made a run for the shuttle (across the entire park) and caught it just in time. Everyone had a nap after we got back to the hotel and missed the thunderstorm. By the time we all woke up it was sunny and the hotel pool was open. We played in the pool for a while, went up to the room to change clothes, had pizza by the outdoor fire pit, then roasted marshmallows by the fire and made s'mores while we watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua on the outdoor screen. Off to bed to repeat the day on Sunday. On Monday we headed home by way of the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and the Riverwalk.
