Preschool Graduation

Some pictures of Maya's preschool graduation. Everyone did such a great job. The grads sang songs that made us Moms cry. They demonstrated their Spanish with two songs. It was a long production about and hour and a half and each student walked across the stage and received their diploma from their teachers. Very sweet.

Now for the not so sweet part-but funny for sure-after the fact anyway. Have you ever seen the movie Parenthood the one with Steve Martin? You know you have a long time ago, anyway I love that movie and re-watch it from time to time when we get it from the library. It helps me remember that all this everyday stuff is normal and funny if you take it the right way. So in that movie there is a scene when, at the beautiful school program (I think it is a play of some sort) the littlest member of Steve Martin's family, Justin, who is about 3 I think goes up in the middle of the play on the stage and ruins the whole thing before his parents can get him down. If you can't see where this is going, you don't know our family too well :-). Yes, that is right. Logan, who is about 3, went up on the stage while all of the kids were singing their sweet songs. He then flew off the stage and with a huge smile. Thank God he 1.) didn't destroy the whole thing, 2.) didn't hurt himself or anyone else and 3.) didn't stay up there too long. We don't even have a picture of it (since I am one of these parents who photographs all of the crazy things my kids do). I am sure someone does, but I haven't gotten one yet. I also know he is in a bunch of videos that parents were filming of the program. At first I was mad, and then I just laughed and told him to stay in the chair and, "NO! he could not go up with Daddy to take pictures and if I had to go get the stroller I would." (That threat works most of the time-he wants to be big and not a baby in a stroller.) So, it was a great graduation!
