Not sure why this picture is so small (?).
One of the horses getting ready to race.
The walk of a winner.
HOORAY! What a shot!
Every year Jeff goes to the Breeders' Cup horse races with a couple of his good friends. It is always in October near Halloween and this year (and next, apparently) it was in Santa Anita, California. Now, Maya loves horses and loves to watch them race so Daddy always has her pick one horse from each race that she thinks is going to win. Maya and I check out the horses on the website and I read her some of the information listed and of course their names. When she picks who she thinks will be the winner we watch the video of the horse and it wins every time! (Of, course the videos are of past races where the horse has actually won, but she doesn't know that yet.) She is always so excited! So, now she is very confident in her choices. And, over the past few years she has been very good at picking the winners. This year we had Logan pick some too, it was fun! They didn't have too much luck, but they had a great time watching the horses on the computer. Their favorite part is checking in with Daddy on the phone to see how the horses are doing.
