Already feeling pretty good
It has been one week since I started following the doc's recommendations and I'm feeling better. The yeast-free diet is REALLY hard, but not impossible and everyone is being really helpful and supportive. The idea is that since I have yeast overgrowth, I need to stop feeding the yeast so it will stop growing and revert back to its spore state and then it can be washed away with medication, all the while replacing the good bacteria we all need to have our systems functioning properly. So no yeast (bread, pasta), no sugar (dairy, even fruit), no fermented products (vinegar, WINE!) for two weeks. Then I can add back in fruit and butter for the next two weeks. One month of this and I get to move "Beyond" and can add back in some things one by one. The hardest part for me today is my coffee. I love, love, love those full of sugar flavored creamers and am really missing my coffee. I can have coffee, I just can't put anything "good" in it. I am about to go on Starbucks.com to see if they have ANYTHING I can have right now besides black coffee. And, last night I really wanted some chocolate raisins (my favotite) but I listened to Maya and my mom and had some "unsweetend almond chocolate milk" with cinnamon.-You're right, it was not even close to the same thing, but I'm gald I didn't eat those chocolate raisins.

Doesn't it feel better just knowing the problem? Wow, so glad you are on the road to recovery. Feel better soon.
