Logan and Mommy

Well, here we are. I thought that since I am rarely in the pictures I put on my blog I might add this one that Tracy sent to me.

So about the Batman party...Logan has never, not even once, mentioned that he wanted a Batman party. A few weeks ago there was a helicopter toy that Maya bought for him with her birthday money when she went to pick something out that was Batman, but that is the only time he has ever mentioned Batman. So when we went to the party store to pick out his party stuff we walked all around the store and looked at every-single-party-option-there is and he kept going back to Batman, so that is what he chose. I personally think it was all the yellow surrounding Batman that is the actual appeal to Logan.

He LOVES yellow. I'm sure you had no idea about that, but just to be clear-yellow is his absolute favorite-he even picks yellow ice cream from Cold Stone, I think it is called green apple, but to Logan it is yellow and that is what he wants. So when Grandma was ordering his cake and she asked him what color he wanted I was not at all surprised that he picked yellow. (side note here, this is the first cake/cupcakes I have not made myself in all of the parties I have ever put together-which includes all of Jeff's birthdays for the last 13 years, Casandra's birthdays for as many times as we have been able to see her near her birthday, all of Maya's birthdays as well as Logan's and even my Mom!-that is a lot of baking. I love to bake, I just ran out of time. I had grand plans of a yellow circle cake with the Batman symbol made out of chocolate frosting, but went another route for the sake of my sanity-thank you Mom for taking that over and helping me.) When your child loves a color this much it makes it easy to seem like everything is perfectly coordinated. And that you are totally organized (wink!).
