1st Week of School

We started school last Monday, August 17th. The large center picture is from that day. Then on Thursday we had dress uniform day and the kiddos looked so cute I had to get that up here too. It has taken me a week to post this, I hope to get better at my new need for balancing everything.

So far I am loving our new school and the kids are as well! I am teaching second grade and have 10 students in my class! All of my students except for one attended this school last year so they are extremely helpful since I am new. The other second grade teacher and I are getting along so well and she is wonderful to work with! We will have to move to our permanent classrooms when they are ready-and that cannot come soon enough. The school is growing and expanding quite quickly and all of this rain hasn't helped the process-at all.

Logan has 6 children in his class and after a week of "adjusting" he is headed in the right direction. His teacher is very good!

Maya loves Kindergarten! She got homework today and said, "I love getting homework, big kids get homework." Love that!

My mom moved here-well her things are supposed to arrive tomorrow-but she started at her new school last week preparing for students and today was their first day of school. She still isn't home, so I hope she had a good day! She's staying with us until her things arrive. Her apartment is nearby and it is in a brand new complex, so she is the first one to live in her place-so nice.
