Happy 6th Birthday Maya

Maya at school where we sang to her during Chapel. She took chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and pink sprinkles with a heart shaped lollipop that had horses on them to her class (no picture, sorry, a girl after my own heart with all the chocolate!).
Then off to her make-up riding lesson since we missed the 4th of July. It just so happened that the make-up lesson was on Maya's birthday (that's a God thing I am sure). She was so cute when we were talking about the "make-up lesson", she didn't know why it was called a make-up lesson and she thought she would be wearing make-up, or that the horse would have some kind of make-up. Too funny! I explained that we missed a lesson and that we were making it up, not wearing make-up.
After the riding lesson (where she did get to wear glitter thanks to Grandma) she wanted to go to Asian City where "they cook in front of you" Hibachi style. Everyone had a wonderful time. She fell asleep in the car on the way home, but before she did she said, "This was the best day ever." Just what I was after :-)

Dear Maya,
I am so proud of the young lady you are growing up to be. You are sweet and thoughtful and brave. You know what you like and how to go after it. You are wise beyond your years and I pray that you will always listen to your inner voice and follow your heart in all that you do. I love you so much! Happy Birthday!
Love,
Mommy
