What a Weekend!

We had a crazy, busy, fun, exhausting, productive, relaxing weekend. Is that really possible? It started Friday night, I hosted Mom's Night Out and we had about 15 people here mostly moms--imagine that-- (including Manuel, Mercedes, and Chachi :-)). Plus of course Jeff and Maya and Logan were here too! We made Cuban Sandwiches-with pork, ham and cheese plus a relish that was really good even though I don't like pickles-, black beans & rice, guacamole, apple pie, triple chocolate chunk cookies, fried plantain, a cheese ball that looked like a pumpkin, chips and salsa, Mojitos, margaritas, and mulled cider. Everyone had a good time and the kids stayed up really late-hanging out with Daddy! Oh, and I made a second apple pie because Jeff didn't get any (neither did I) and that is his favorite!

Then Saturday we went to Costco and got some racks for the garage and then came home and with a little help from me Jeff organized the entire garage-it is beautiful. We got to see the Rodriguez Family (Manuel, Mercedes, Chachi) before they headed back home-they are moving here!!!! The kids and I went to sleep early that night!

Today we went to the park, dropped of the double stroller at Jennifer's house (bless someone else with something you no longer need-her baby is due in March-check out The Victor Family blog), looked at some model homes in our neighborhood (decorating ideas only), made Maya's favorite pumpkin bread, and had Jeff's uncle who has just moved here from Michigan over for dinner (pot roast-I'd been craving it for three days-weird because I really don't eat much beef). Now it's time to get ready for the week!
